As a thank-you gift to all who subscribed to the UCM, here is a satellite imagery analysis of a Belarusian 969th Tank Reserve Base, Urechye, Minsk Region.
Airbus imagery of the 969th Tank Reserve Base in Urechye acquired 05 DEC shows a decreased presence of T-72 main battle tanks by 16, BMP-1/2 infantry fighting vehicles by 39, BTR-80/90 armoured personnel carriers by 49, armoured recovery vehicles by 22 and trucks by 41 in parking areas, compared to imagery from 30 JUL.
The next activity is the complete absence of 2S1 Gvozdika SPHs.
Decreased presence of armoured vehicles and the complete absence of howitzers suggest they had been removed from long-term storage. Concurrently, given reports suggesting delivery of combat vehicles from Belarus to Russia, it is possible that all of the abovementioned assets were either moved to Russia or are now being used by Russian personnel in Belarus.
According to the Belarusian Military Monitoring Team Belarusian, more than 211 vehicles were delivered from Belarus to Russia in October. Specifically, Belarus sent out 98 T-72A tanks, 60 BMP-2s (20 without turrets), and 53 URAL trucks.
All MBTs were supposed to come from Ureche. Given that imagery only shows 16 missing tanks, it is highly likely that the remaining vehicles were removed from the roofed buildings.
The same pertains to BMPs. Altogether, 60 were meant to be shipped to Russia in October, of which 20 were without turrets.
