Ukraine's counteroffensive (June-August 2023) - An initial assessment

As mentioned in our previous posts, this week's update will be different.

We would like to offer the reader our initial assessment of Ukraine's counteroffensive. We have looked at the past three months of fighting and attempted to assess what worked and what didn't and why for both sides. 

The document is long, but we promise to make it shorter the next time we will update the assessment in early October.
